ABOUT NOT THE FUNERAL HOME

Early in our careers, we produced two films that utilized a closed down funeral home as both our production office and housing. After that experience, we vowed to never return to the “funeral home” again.

Not the Funeral Home is a full-service production company founded in 2016 by Justin Martell and Matt Manjourides.  We specialize in delivering high-value, cost-effective production solutions for films and television projects across North America, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and Africa.

Our notable works include “The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs,” now in its seventh season on Shudder and AMC+, and the reimagining of the 1980s cult classic “Street Trash,” filmed on 35mm in Cape Town, South Africa.  Our other titles include “Eight Eyes,” a horror film shot on 16mm in Serbia and Macedonia, in collaboration with Vinegar Syndrome.

Additionally, Not the Funeral Home co-produced “Castle Freak” for Fangoria Studios, one of the first American horror films shot on location in Albania.  Through strategic partnerships with studios such as AMC+ Shudder, STARZ, RLJ Entertainment, Cineverse, Screambox, Fangoria, Bloody Disgusting, Tubi, Vinegar Syndrome, and The Asylum, Not the Funeral Home continues to expand its diverse portfolio in the film and television industry.
